Peanut Butter & Salted Caramel Cookie Bars by Fwdge
These "insane" PB caramel bars are made with ingredients you likely have stashed in the kitchen cupboards. You can adapt this recipe however you'd like; make these delicious slices with whatever 'biccies' & leftover chocolates you have lying around.
250g Biscuits/Cookies (whatever you have)
150g Butter, Melted
2 TBSP Cocoa Powder
100g Salted Caramel Sauce
250g Peanut Butter
2 TBSP Milk
How to make
Crush the cookies to a fine crumb in a large bowl , then stir in the cocoa powder and melted butter. Mix well.
Tip the mixture in to a lined square baking tin and press down in to a compact layer, then refrigerate until firm, about 30 mins.
Combine the peanut butter and caramel in a saucepan and mix briefly over a low heat until melted together.
Pour caramel mixture over the chilled biscuit base & refrigerate again for 30 mins.
Melt the chocolate and milk together in a pan over a low heat until smooth and runny, then pour chocolate mix over the chilled peanut/caramel layer.
Leave to set in the fridge for a minimum of one hour until the chocolate layer is firm and can be sliced easily.
